I cannot emphasize how incredible this restaurant was. The first bite of the shrimp gamba took us straight to the stratosphere. And the bread was so soft and was absolutely incredible in helping us scoop up the rest of the garlic butter sauce. Paired it with the vinho verde— SO good. We also got the seafood rice which was delicious as well!! Tried to come back again literally the next day but they were closed. Would highly recommend!!

If you’re not into very healthy food, this place isn’t for you. After much consideration, de decided to try the Taverna for a full meal and got pleasantly surprised and thankful we made this choice. We ordered the cod and the golden fish. Each dish comes with yellow potatoes and grilled vegetables, very lightly seasoned, yet flavorful and most importantly, FRESH! We noticed the difference between USA and European food right away. I would eat here on a regular basis, if I could. Portions were enough to satisfy our appetite, and they even offered a shot of a spirit (wine? Porto? We’ll never know) that was the perfect ending for a relaxed, enjoyable dinner. Services was kind and attentive. I loved the fact that there are no more than 6-8 tables, so they can focus on preparing their meals with care and dedication.

I recently had lunch in Taverna and it was an unforgettable experience for anyone who loves seafood, especially their standout paella. The highlight was undoubtedly the seafood paella. It arrived at the table steaming hot, brimming with vibrant colors and the aroma of saffron and fresh ocean flavors. The rice was perfectly cooked—al dente with a slight socarrat crust—and generously studded with plump shrimp, tender calamari, mussels, and clams. Each bite was a harmonious blend of flavors, with the seafood tasting incredibly fresh and the seasoning spot-on. It’s clear the chef knows how to balance tradition with quality ingredients. We also tried the clams with garlic which was equally impressive. It was tender, flavorful and fresh, showcasing the kitchen’s skill with seafood. The service was impeccable—friendly without being intrusive. For anyone craving authentic paella and top-notch seafood, Taverna is a must-visit. I’m already looking forward to my next meal here!

Just next to the best seafood place but they offer the good seafood rice as well. When we arrived, they told us that freshly caught sea bass had just been delivered — the perfect chance to try grilled fish at its best. We waited about 30 minutes for a table; it was very busy, but the food was absolutely worth it. We ordered a seafood paella, a grilled sea bass, and a small plate of olives as a snack. The olives were excellent — not overly salty, but with a unique and distinctive flavor. The seafood paella, while perhaps slightly less impressive compared to the one next door, still had its own special taste and was packed with generous, satisfying ingredients. The grilled sea bass was truly fresh and flavorful, and it was quite a large fish. When we asked for extra lemon, they brought out freshly cut slices — everything felt very fresh. At the end, they treated us to a small glass of their homemade liqueur, low in alcohol but pleasantly sweet, which I really enjoyed.
